Executive Director - Lauren Cochran (she/her)

Why the CCA is so important to you personally: What excites me most about the Center for the Arts! The Arts of course. I am passionate about music, theatre, dance, art…I am excited to continue the journey of the former directors, Lexy Lattimore and Susan Gates.
BIO: Lauren Cochran worked at the Chelmsford Public School System for 26 years as a music and theatre teacher. With well over 100 directing credits, her plays received many awards from both the Massachusetts High School Theatre Guild as well as the Theatre At The Mount (TAMY). Lauren has studied acting, play production, musical theatre and more at Emerson College, American Repertory Theatre and Suffolk University. Lauren holds a Masters in Education and a Bachelors in Music Education in voice. She has worked as an improvisational actor at Nick’s Comedy Stop and worked in improv in a traveling improv group throughout New England. For years Lauren was involved in many community theatres including Arlington Friends of the Drama, The Jamaica Plain Footlight Club, Quannapowitt Players, Hovey Players and The Vokes Theatre. Having performed for years in community theatre, Lauren fell in love with teaching high school theatre. She is also an honored member of the Chelmsford High School Hall of Fame. She is looking forward to this new venture in helping to bring the arts to the entire community of Chelmsford.
Technical Director - Dan Adamsky (he/they)
Hometown: Pelham, NH
Why the CCA is so important to you personally: Having been TD at the CCA since 2021, I'm passionate about providing a safe, fun, and inviting space for the community to create and come together.
BIO: I'm an artist and maker in many fields from music to woodworking, but I have more than 20 years of experience in theatre and live events. Having worked at various times as a director, stage manager, stage carpenter and electrician, the majority of my experience has been as a sound designer and live audio engineer. After 5 years in New York City, working on shows at every level from elementary school to Off Broadway, I moved to the Bay Area and worked for multiple theatre companies for several years before transitioning to corporate events. For 2 years, I managed audiovisual services for all events at the Mission Bay Conference Center on the UCSF campus in San Francisco. Bringing my skills back home to New England in 2021, I'm delighted to be part of the team at CCA, and I'm excited to continue the work to create a fulfilling and exciting community art space in Chelmsford.
