FREE Summer Shakespeare Workshop for Teens

Summer Shakespeare Workshop (1).png

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

No tunics… no tights… no auditions! For more than 400 years, actors have spoken the words of William Shakespeare. Become part of that unbroken chain. From swashbuckling adventure to tender romance, from tales of magic to tales of revenge, and from low comedy to high tragedy, these plays explore, with profound understanding, every part of what it means to be a human being. The Chelmsford Shakespeare Workshop will be led by teacher, theatre artist and North Chelmsford native Shaun Miskell. Our aim is to create a first-rate performance ensemble, devoted to the works of the Bard of Avon. As writer Jan Kott has suggested, Shakespeare is, indeed, our contemporary. All high school actors are welcome! No auditions required. This rehearsal and performance class will lead to a presentation open to the public at the close of the session. This free workshop runs July 7 through August 15 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the CCA gallery.
